How do I install a PRINTER on my computer so I can print at school?
1. Log into your computer
2. Go to http://printserver1\printers
3. Scroll through the MPSD Printers (you will have to select the next screen)
4. Select a printer to install.
a. WAS311 (computer lab)
b.WAS304color400 (library color printer)
c. WAS3042055 (library black and white printer)
5. When you see Printer Actions, select Connect
6. An “Add Printer connection” window will popup,
select “Yes”
I am having trouble connecting to the internet at school! What do I do?
Connect to the network using an Ethernet cable (see Ms. Mills or Mrs. Bongle for this). Then connect to the MPSD-wifi. If you are able to connect, then remove the cable and you should remain connected. Your laptop just needs what's called a certificate. If this does not work, see Ms. Mills or Mrs. Bongle and we will help you put in a "ticket" to fix the problem.
How do put Malwarebytes on my computer?
- Open Internet Explorer if you can.
- Type in malwarebytes.org into the address bar.
- Click the orange button labeled “Free Version Download.”
- A little toolbar will pop up at the bottom while it downloads. If the toolbar does not pop up, click the green button “Download Now.” Upon completion of the download, click the button with the downloaded file at the bottom of the screen.
- A box will pop up in the center of the screen. Follow the steps for installation.
- Before clicking “finish,” uncheck the box labeled “Enable free trial of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium.”
- Malwarebytes will open. You will be given directions today on how to run a scan at home this weekend.
How do I RUN THE MALWARE SCAN?
1) On the desktop (or in "Programs"), find and open Malwarebytes.
2) At the bottom of the Malwarebytes main menu, click "Scan Now"
3) The scan will take some time--make sure your laptop is plugged in. It may take as long as a few minutes, but could take up to a few hours.
4) When the scan is complete, you must "choose an action" for infected files. Click on the button at the bottom labeled "Quarantine All". Then click "apply".
5) You may be asked to launch into another "Threat Scan" if so, run it again, quarantin, apply, and restart.
6) After quarantine, Malwarebytes will ask you if you want to restart. Click "yes" to restart.
7) Open Malwarebytes and run the scan again. Continue this process until no infected files show up.
