Hello MPSD Families,

Our district will begin the 2020-2021 school year in a blended educational model for all students.  Families will have the option to self-select out of the blended educational model and into a full distance learning model. We ask that you provide us with information on your plans for your child/ren for the start of the 2020-2021 school year.

For those families who want to keep their students at home, we will be offering a full distance learning option that will allow students to make academic progress and meet state requirements for daily learning.

For those families who want their child/ren to go to school in a blended learning model, we will be providing personal protective equipment such as masks and sanitizer stations and enforcing social distancing whenever possible to reduce the risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.

The linked Frequently Asked Questions document related to our 2020-2021 school year plan is provided to support your understanding of our models.

MPSD Frequently Asked Questions

Families will be expected to stick with their choice for at least the full first semester, which will conclude in January 2021, so schools can appropriately staff both in-person and full distance learning programs. In addition, a semester-long commitment will allow teachers and students to forge important relationships, establish routines and support learning and teaching at the highest levels.
